Marrakech is universally known for its artisanal and traditional art practices, gathering tourists and nationals alike to hunt for wares in the markets of our region. This passion of crafts and craftsmanship calls for a dedicated moment to experience artisanal work in Dar Bellarj’s expansive riad located in the heart of the Medina.
Last autumn we had such an incredible time hosting the craft fair that we decided to hold a second edition! Join us again for a day of celebration and discovery, supporting the multiplicity of makers and their practices, who enrich regional cultural patrimony through their essential work. You’ll find familiar crafts and unusual finds, as well as experimental takes on traditional processes, such as the use of natural-dyes or repurposed materials. Tradition meets the creative imaginary of a new generation of enthusiast as we reinvent what it means to be part of an ethical and sustainable local economy.
3pm – 10pm
Visit, shop and meet some makers from our community! Join to also find a pop up of local products from cooperatives of the High Atlas, hosted by Moroccan Biodiversity and Livelihoods Association.
The craft fair will be followed by a musical and dance performance by L’Moutalâte at 19hr30, rounding out this beautiful afternoon full of art in its’ many forms.
